Third Sunday After Easter
Today we continue our Easter theme by discovering what is meant by Jesus' reappearance among the disciples at Jerusalem... and his actions after the events on the road to Emmaus.
What's the significance of him eating that fish?
What is meant by "opening their minds to understanding?"
To help us answer these and other questions we're going to draw on Paul's letter to the Colossians where he talks about being "rooted and built up in Him" (meaning Christ Jesus) and "stablished in faith, as you have been taught." It may seem like a silly question but we're going to ask about what this faith stuff is and really begin to look into it carefully.
I hope people find it beneficial because it sheds a bit of light on my own process for reading these things - especially the presuppositions and assumptions I make, which are probably a little different from the norm.
Texts
Colossians 2 & 3
Luke 24
