In the beginning was the Word...

 

This talk was actually given on Boxing Day Sunday just gone and is an explanation of most of the first Chapter of John.

*The Greek word referenced towards the end is "monogenes," which appears in both Classical Orphic and Homeric texts - having quite a different meaning from the one later ascribed to it several centuries after the Gospels were originally written.
